Aussie Photo Diary: Week 4
This week was all about doing one’s best to remember that, in spite of the heat and the long days, it’s Christmas: this often involved staring at Christmas trees for several hours, or listening to Slade on an endless loop…
Day 22: Saturday 19th December 2009
Manly Beach
I’d noticed that at weekends a plane scrawls the words ‘call mum’ in the skies over Sydney, which I initially took as a quirky sentimental message from a pilot with too much time and money, but later on I found out that it’s all part of some marketing campaign by a communications company. Should’ve known.
Day 23: Sunday 20th December 2009
Sydney Icons In Mono
There’s something about black and white photos of architecture…
Day 24: Monday 21st December 2009
Watson’s Bay
Watson’s Bay is a gorgeous little place near the entrance to Sydney Harbour where the average house price is the fifth highest in all Australia. We caught the ferry there (a catamaran that went like heck) and enjoyed a lunch of fish and chips by the water
Day 25: Tuesday 22nd December 2009
Taronga Zoo
One of the best zoos in the world if you ask me, and the giraffes get a great view of the city.
Day 26: Wednesday 23rd December 2009
Cheers!
Relaxing by the tree with a (plastic – gotta love living on a budget) champagne flute of rosé.
Day 27: Thursday 24th December 2009
Christmas Eve
Darling Harbour hosted some INTENSE fireworks on Christmas eve. The place was packed and everyone was in a festive mood.. Now to wait for Santa
Day 28: Friday 25th December 2009
Merry Christmas!
Advent calendar all opened, chocolates all eaten; it must be Christmas Day!
More next week folks!
