Aussie Photo Diary: Week 1
Here we go…
This is the first weekly instalment of my photo-a-day diary of life in Sydney, Australia. Since jetting off from London at the end of November and stopping over in Beijing, my girlfriend and I have finally arrived in the city. And it’s Summer in the city. We win.
Day 1: Saturday 28th November 2009
Heathrow

As expected, Heathrow T3 was pretty busy, but who cares? Bye bye British Winter!
Day 2: Sunday 29th November 2009
Beijing Food Market

You can get it all… squid, roaches, snakes on a stick. Smelt amazing though.
Day 3: Monday 30th November 2009
Beijing Forbidden City

Home to the Emperors of the Ming Dynasty was a huge walled city. Don’t look at the verticals.. this photo is slightly drunk.
Day 4: Tuesday 1st December 2009
The Great Wall

Only spent an hour here, but that was enough to take it all in. The wall isn’t as wide as I imagined… pretty long though.
Day 5: Wednesday 2nd December 2009
Moving On

Beijing Capital Airport is everything Heathrow isn’t: spacious, new and clean.
Day 6: Thursday 3rd December 2009
Summer Has Arrived

No sleep for 24 hours? Weather like this makes it so much better
Day 7: Friday 4th December 2009
I Have An Aussie Number!

Stage one of settling into the city
More next week folks!
